Mission
The CIPINA association, created under the articles 60 and following of the Swiss Civil Code, is an organization of integration, development and cooperation whose purpose is promote the image of a New Africa, uninhibited, competent and future-oriented. It aims to advance the cause of African populations, or of African origin, based in Switzerland and in the rest of the world. CIPINA works primarily for the coexistence among peoples and struggles against all forms of stigma and intolerance, particularly against African populations or of African origin. CIPINA is in favour of resolutely fighting intolerance, because it is an obstacle to the peaceful coexistence of peoples.
Objectives
- Promote a positive image of the New Africa abroad and bring positive encouragement to the youth, women and men of Africa
- Provide significant support to safeguard the interests of Africa abroad
- Facilitate the integration of Africans in Switzerland
- Contribute to a better understanding of the realities and specificities of Africa for the populations who ignore them
- Fight against discrimination against Africans and work for peace and coexistence between all the communities
- Provide the necessary support to the public authorities to help them make intelligent decisions on Africa
- Promote exchanges and cooperation between the North and Africa
- Communicate about good African practices in all areas
- Promote human rights in Africa and enhance positive change where wanted and needed
- Highlight the diversity and attractiveness of Africa, the continent of the future
Vision
CIPINA is for a world where dignity is ensured by and for everyone, women, men and children, through living together, tolerance, respect for the cultural diversity and Human Rights. These factors are essential to human development.
Projects
CIPINA implements several projects each year to promote a positive image of Africa. These projects cover various areas such as culture, sport, social integration, training and research, economics and business, international cooperation, human rights, and so on. Managed by professionals from various backgrounds, these projects are intended to convey a positive message about Africa and Africans.
