Support for migrant women in finding employment

In partnership with the BLI, the CAP Conseil & Accompagnement professionnel association offers to help migrant women in Lausanne find a job. Depending on their needs, CAP can provide support in writing a CV and cover letters, calls to companies, recognition of a diploma or help with family organization.
The objectives are to enable women to gain self-confidence, develop their network, build their professional project, and enter the job market.
This support is free, focused on practice, with internship in a company. The interviews are individual and regular.
It is aimed at migrant women domiciled in Lausanne, with valid residence status, able to communicate in French and not receiving unemployment funding,

Country evening “Afghanistan”: security situation, reasons for refugees’ exile and practice of Swiss asylum law
Wednesday, October 9, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

La Sallaz Library, Sallaz square 4
Since the Taliban took power on 15 August 2021, the outlook for human rights in Afghanistan has continued to deteriorate. Under this regime, the country
is sinking into an unprecedented economic and humanitarian crisis. Various reports indicate that the rights of certain groups of the Afghan population are being jeopardized. Women and
Girls, in particular, are systematically discriminated against and face extreme restrictions in the public sphere.
Since last year, hundreds of thousands of Afghans who had sought refuge in Iran and Pakistan are now in makeshift refugee camps in
Afghanistan, exposed to new persecution by the Taliban. Organized by OSAR and BLI, this country evening addresses the current situation in terms of human rights and security
in Afghanistan. It presents the risk profiles as well as the asylum policy applicable to Afghan nationals in Switzerland.
This event is aimed at anyone interested in this topic.
